teammaker.lol ("we", "us") is a free tool for generating balanced League of Legends in-house teams. We take a minimal-data approach and are committed to transparency.
What We Collect
We collect only the data needed to operate the service:
- Riot IDs (gameName + tagLine) you enter
- Publicly available match and ranked data fetched from the Riot Games API
- Generated team results (stored temporarily for sharing purposes)
- Basic server request logs (IP address, timestamp, request path) for security and debugging
We do not collect: - Email addresses - Passwords or account credentials - Payment information - Personal demographic data - Persistent user identifiers beyond a session
How We Use Your Data
Data is used solely to:
- Resolve Riot accounts and fetch match/rank data from the Riot API
- Generate balanced team compositions
- Cache API responses to reduce repeated calls and improve performance
- Provide shareable lobby links
Data Caching
Player rank and match data is cached in our database for up to 30 minutes to improve performance and reduce Riot API calls. Generated lobby results may be retained for up to 7 days for sharing purposes. Cached data is then automatically deleted.
Third-Party Services
We use the Riot Games API to fetch publicly available player data. Use of this data is subject to Riot Games' developer policies. We do not share your data with any other third parties.
Cookies
We may use minimal session storage to maintain UI state during your visit. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
Your Rights
You may request deletion of any cached data associated with your Riot ID by contacting us. Since we do not require accounts, there is no persistent personal profile to delete.
